Ready for School!

Our American Girl dolls - thank you, Great Grandma Budke!

Believe it or not, we are all ready for school to start. As much as the girls and I love the lazy days of summer, we all thrive on routine and schedules. So the chore chart is back up and the menu is up to date in our kitchen - we are ready for the next 180 days of school! I always find that I get more done in the 2 days before school starts than I do all summer vacation, I guess I work better under pressure! Thanks for checking in and sorry for it being so long since I've blogged last!

It's so hard to believe summer is already over and school is starting! Good luck this school year - I'm sure it will fly by too!

Oooooh that makes me want to get my doll out & accessorize! So cute! I remember sitting with the catalog & planning out a whole room for my doll! Of course, that never happened but it was so fun to dream! And the fact that they're based off of books that I really treasured was even better! I hope they love them as much as I did!

If you ever get the chance, go to the American Girl Store in Chicago. Morgan, Lisa, Bonnie, and I went up on the train a couple of summers ago. It is definitely every little girl's dream. Of course everything costs to get the full experience. But there is a play, lunch, hair styling, and of course shopping for new clothes and accessories. I enjoyed it as much as Morgan. Hope the girls had a good morning at school. I will say that the first day went VERY well. I didn't see or hear any crying, not even from the teachers! Have a good year.

Maybe instead of saying the "daily" lives of Chris, Karen, etc., you should say the "bi-monthly" lives of Chris, Karen, etc.!!!!LOL
