Baseball and Cows

So far our summer has not been filled with swimming, but with baseball games and getting cows ready for the 4-H Fair. There haven't been very many days where it has been warm enough to swim, so we've filled our time with other activities. You can't help but laugh at Ella with her baseball helmet on. She asked me the first time she had to wear it, " Does this look silly on me?" and I commented, "Yes, now go play ball!" She has fun playing t-ball, but is more into the social aspect of it than anything else. Enjoy the pictures and thanks for checking in!

Anna does enjoy the baseball games more and gets very disappointed when they are canceled because of rain. We washed for the first time last night (Sunday) and we only washed Tina. We're going to move our washing location - it got too muddy where we were. Thanks for checking in!

Like I told you tonight at Ella's game, she'll probably be the athletic one. (Although she does like to look around when she's in the outfield!!) Poor thing, though, she really needs a helmet that fits her a little better, that thing probably adds about 5 lbs. to carry around those bases with her! For all of you who can't come to her games, she likes to come and give us high fives after she gets back to homeplate or "catches" a ball (and I do use the term loosely)! I haven't seen Anna play for a week or so, but I hear that she's doing a super job, too! Emma said tonight that when her heifer gets a little rowdy, she holds on tight and doesn't let go!

I shouldn't have said when she's in the "outfield" because they are all lined up in the "infield". And usually there's a bunch (of boys usually) that all run for the ball. Not Ella, though!!! She stands right where she started out and doesn't move!! Just wanted to clear that up so you could get the real picture!!

Karen, you're going to have to be super-crazy and upload videos of all of this to watch! And, I think Anna looks like a natural witht he bat!

Ella will grow into the helmet soon (I hope!) and Anna looks like she's going to be a big hitter in no time!

I'm totally impressed with Emma - gosh she grew up fast!
